Announcing the World Usability Day 2024 Theme:
Designing for a Better World is both hopeful and practical. This year, we will organize events that demonstrate all the different ways that better design can improve our world. We take a Universal design approach to ensure the work is inclusive and diverse and reflects our aspirations.
In addition to computer systems, devices, and software, look at architecture, environment, and service design.
The theme of "Designing for a Better World" manifests in many ways:

sustainable architectures and urban planning
water reduction and management
eco-friendly packaging
accessible public spaces
