TypeCon2021: Call for Programming

TypeCon needs you!

The Society of Typographic Aficionados is now accepting programming proposals for TypeCon2021 — our first virtual conference — taking place August 19th to 22nd.

TypeCon covers a broad range of topics, including typography, type design, font production, graphic design, digital media, printing history, calligraphy, lettering, book arts, advertising, wayfinding, type in motion, literacy, type sales and marketing, legal issues, design education, and other related areas.

We are currently seeking proposals for presentations. All presentations will be pre-recorded. Q&A will be held live as a panel after each group of presentations.

The Society of Typographic Aficionados (SOTA) is an international not-for-profit organization dedicated to the promotion, study, and support of type, its history and development, its use in the world of print and digital imagery, its designers, and its admirers. TypeCon is an annual convention presented by SOTA that focuses on type, design, and other related disciplines.
